Residents invited to join walkabouts
15 Feb 2010
Merlin Housing Society residents are being invited to join housing officers to inspect their neighbourhood.
Housing officers are going out and about on their patches in a series of neighbourhood walkabouts. And Merlin residents are being invited to join them to discuss the things that they’d like to see improved in their local area. Police officers, councillors and council officials are also being invited to each of the 30 walkabouts.
Merlin is writing to all of its residents who live in the streets covered by a walkabout to let them know when it is taking place.
Head of Housing Jack Bailey said: “The walkabouts are a great chance for residents to meet their housing officer and tell them what they’d like to see improved about the area where they live. Housing officers will draw up an action plan after each inspection of any work that is needed. We will then work with other organisations to make sure this happens.”
