Head of Repairs and Maintenance , £55,000 per annum

It’s an exciting time to be in social housing. The Government is asking organisations like ours to deliver affordable homes against a backdrop of funding cuts and record waiting lists.

The continuing development of our in-house contractor is at the heart of the new and ambitious Business Plan we’re launching in spring 2012 to meet these challenges. Following an internal restructure, we’re looking for four high calibre candidates to help us achieve our ambitious priorities and growth strategy.

Our ideal candidates are inspirational, high energy and results driven individuals. With degrees or equivalent in a building related or complimentary discipline, we expect them to set the strategic direction for their service to ensure upper quartile performance, customer and contractor satisfaction, and internal and external service growth.

Their previous significant senior management experience will show that they are strategic thinkers who thrive on ensuring competitive levels of productivity, all the while demonstrating continuous improvement, cost effectiveness, and value for money.

Head of Repairs and Maintenance

You’ll have substantial managerial experience within a large organisation at a senior level in a construction related role. With a track record of managing and improving the repairs
and maintenance service in a forward thinking organisation – including the call centre - you’ll effectively and efficiently lead a large operational team that delivers customer focussed
repairs and maintenance services to more than 9,000 properties.
