Make a Difference

Our vision is to be a first class provider of affordable housing and related services for communities across South Gloucestershire with our residents at the heart of all that we do.

To achieve this, our residents have helped us to produce our service standards on involvement and empowerment which set out how we will work with residents to improve their homes and the communities in which they live.

That’s why we ask our residents to Make a Difference with Merlin. On these pages you can learn more about how residents are helping us to improve the lives of their fellow residents and watch our short film on how you can make a difference.

Residents have said the key things they want us to do are that:

  • We keep residents informed
  • We take residents’ views into account when making decisions
  • Residents influence our decisions and actions
  • Residents and staff work in partnership to improve services
  • Resident involvement provides good value for money

We have identified four main ways for residents to make a difference with us. These are:

GRANTnet

We subscribe to GRANTnet, a free service which has been set up to help community and voluntary groups to identify funding for their projects.

You can regsiter with GRANTnet by clicking on the link below. You will be emailed a password which will allow you access to the site. After logging on and answering a few questions about your group and your project, the site will provide an overview of what is available.

Copies of all requests will be sent to our Community Investment Managers.
