Anti-social behaviour
We want to create communities where people are happy to live. While most of us get on well with our neighbours, sometimes problems occur. We know that anti-social behaviour can ruin lives and so we are committed to identifying and tackling problems at the earliest opportunity to prevent them becoming more serious.
We have dedicated anti-social behaviour officers based in each of our housing offices who work with housing officers to make the communities in South Gloucestershire nicer places to live. We take all reports of anti-social behaviour seriously and work closely with other agencies to tackle it.
The key to tackling anti-social behaviour is supporting victims of it and encouraging individuals and communities to work with us to gather accurate and detailed evidence, through means such as incident diaries and witness statements.
When we receive a report of anti-social behaviour we will investigate and take appropriate action in cases where at least one of the parties involved is one of our residents, a member of a resident’s family or visiting a resident.
Any information that you give to us about anti-social behaviour incidents will be treated in confidence. We will not discuss it with anyone else unless those involved have agreed to it. In the majority of cases, instances of anti-social behaviour can be resolved without taking legal action.
If think you are suffering from anti-social behaviour, you should contact your area housing office.
You can also report anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse and hate crimes outside of normal office hours by calling our out-of-hours number 0800 953 0340. Our trained staff will record your details and pass them on to one of our anti-social behaviour officers on the next working day.
