Supported living
Getting older doesn’t mean giving up on choice. Our supported housing properties offer residents aged over 50 a secure home and the opportunity to be part of a community.
We have more than 1,400 properties at 49 schemes across South Gloucestershire. Our bungalows and apartments are designed with the needs of older people in mind. They have access to community facilities and the added peace of mind of an emergency 24-hour lifeline. If you need extra support now or at some point in the future, we offer daily welfare check visits, and can co-ordinate support from other agencies.
All new residents have their needs assessed when they move in to assess the level of support they need. We regularly review this so we can change it if a person's needs change. We can also provide adaptations to help residents keep living independently in their homes for longer. Our aids and adaptations service will assess what we can do to help someone in their home.
To apply to live in one of our sheltered properties, you need to register with South Gloucestershire Council’s lettings scheme, HomeChoice.
