Merlin and six other housing associations are hosting an event in February to address the 50,000 shortfall in house building in Gloucestershire.
More than a hundred people from across housing, local government, land, finance and development have confirmed attendance at the event on February 10th, which looks to find innovative ways to influence future housing growth in the area.
The event is the first of its kind to be run by the Gloucester Housing Community Partnership, of which Merlin is a member.
A film which showcases the areas of the partnerships strength - including its ability to raise £0.5billion in new and existing finance in the next ten years - will be shown, and speakers from the National Housing Federation, the Homes and Communities Agency and major funders will share their thoughts.
Merlin CEO Robert Nettleton said:"Merlin is absolutely committed to increasing the number of affordable homes we build. Being members of The Gloucester Housing Community Partnership and helping co-ordinate this event strengthens our commitment to building along the M5 corridor by bringing together the right people to help us and other associations achieve our development goals."
