We’re teaming up with organisations to help protect people from being the victims of crime.
We’re helping fund Keep it Safe in Filton next month aimed at giving people all the tools to keep themselves safe and reduce the risk of crime. The free event will provide advice on scams, domestic abuse and anti-social behaviour, as well as the chance to get your bike marked and watch a judo self-defence demonstration.
Community Insight and Investment Officer Charlotte Galling said: “We’re helping to fund this event because we know that crime is an issue for customers in Filton and we're committed to improving customers' satisfaction with their neighbourhoods.
“Filton is one of South Gloucestershire’s priority neighbourhoods because of crime issues. So we’re pleased to be working with the police, Southern Brooks Community Partnerships, SARI and others to raise awareness of local issues and to keep you, your family, and your home safe.”
Keep it Safe Filton takes place on Saturday 5 March from 11am – 2pm at Filton Community Centre, Elm Park, Filton. For more information contact Southern Brooks Community Partnerships on 01454 868570 or visit www.southernbrooks.org.uk
