Merlin makes the top 50 in the UK for being inclusive

We're the only housing association to make it onto this years list of 50 top companies in the UK for inclusivity.

The Inclusive Top 50 List recognises the outstanding efforts of employers that are on a journey to reinforce their commitment to attracting and retaining a truly diverse workforce and achieving diversity equality and inclusion at its purest form – through respecting and managing difference.  The winners have created initiatives which have been forward thinking and inspiring, there to drive real change and to remove inequalities in employment and service delivery.

Cam Kinsella, our Leader for Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Partnerships said: "I couldn’t be more proud of my colleagues who have stuck with my wild and wonderful initiatives! To be with an employer that recognises difference as a strength and that we cant stand still if we want to be world class – this is what keeps me here.

"This last year has confirmed our commitment to our people with work around customer satisfaction, investing in our staff with professional development and in the New Year we will launch our very first Wellness Programme.  None of this could have been achieved with out your challenge, enthusiasm, commitment and consultation – so thank you.  I am very excited to see where we place but I feel on the path we are on – we are winning anyway.”

Compiled by a dedicated panel of judges, organisations have been scored on their performance in a range of areas within the diversity arena. The panel identified the true leaders in this field, focusing on some key challenges faced in the world of diversity, equality & inclusion.

The official rankings will be revealed at The Excellence in Diversity Awards taking place on Thursday 30th November 2017.
