Park Farm, Thornbury
We're developing 70 new homes on the northern edge of the market town of Thornbury, in partnership with Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.
The site has great views of the surrounding countryside and is within easy walking distance of the high street with shops, cafes and pubs, and St Mary's C of E Primary School.
The homes are a mixture of 1 and 2 bedroom flats, and 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses. We'll be making 14 of the homes available to buy through our shared ownership scheme.
The homes are due for completion in phases between 2017 - 2019.
Total number of properties: 70
Number of shared ownership properties: 14
Start on site: 2016
Completion: In phases between 2017 - 2019.
The first five shared ownership homes at our latest housing development in South Gloucestershire are available to buy now.
The homes are on the new Park Farm development on the northern fringe of Thornbury and boast great views of the surrounding countryside, while still being in easy walking distance of the town centre. The shared ownership homes are a mix of one bedroom flats and a three bedroom home, with prices starting at £57,000 for a 40% share.
Sales & Home Ownership Officer Samantha Dore said: “We’re delighted to be offering our latest shared ownership homes for sale. We’ve had huge demand for all the other homes we’ve sold this year and expect these to be no different.
“House prices in South Gloucestershire are nearly nine times higher than average earnings which means many people are priced out of owning their own home. These shared ownership homes offer a great way for local people to take their first step on the housing ladder.”
We’re developing 44 new homes at Park Farm, which are part of a larger development of 127 properties being delivered by Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. A further three homes will be available to buy through shared ownership early next year.
More details about all of the individual properties, including how to apply for them are available on our sales page, www.merlinhs.co.uk/sales.
