If you are interested in applying to purchase this home, please follow the application process below.
All shared ownership properties must be applied for to ensure all buyers are eligible for the scheme.
Step 1
Register with help to buy south – www.helptobuysouth.co.uk (don’t worry if you have already done this, simply skip this step)
Make a note of your help to buy reference number, you will need it later. It normally takes around 4 working days for this number to be supplied.
Step 2
As part of the application process you are required to carry out an affordability assessment and provide documents to support the application, don’t worry this isn’t as scary as it sounds! We have enlisted TMP Mortgages to carry this out on our behalf and to help you along the way. TMP have specialist shared ownership mortgage advisors who will be more than happy to discuss mortgage options with you during this process but feel free to seek financial and mortgage advice elsewhere.
A full assessment can only be conducted once full price details including any service charges have been released but you can still begin collecting and supplying proof documents and seeking mortgage advice while you wait.
- Visit TMP Mortgages’ website: www.tmpmortgages.co.uk
- Click Apply now button
- Complete the online questionnaire
- Your assessment will then be allocated to the correct person and an advisor will then make contact with you within 24 hours (not including weekends) they will discuss options with you and request documents required to complete the application. (Document list can also be requested by emailing Frederick.may@bromford.co.uk)
If you have any difficulties completing the assessment online please contact TMP directly who will be able to assist you: Tel: 01604 780586
Step 3
Once you have completed all of Step 2, TMP will provide you with a reference number to show you have provided all the documents and that you meet the criteria for shared ownership. Keep this number safe and write it down along with your Help to buy reference from Step 1. If you have previously completed these steps for another property from Merlin Housing Society please ensure TMP have conducted the financial assessment based on the property you are wanting to apply for.
Step 4
Send an email with your Help to buy and TMP reference Numbers to Frederick.may@bromford.co.uk and telling us what property you wish to apply for.
All applications will be dealt with on a “first come first served basis” from when we receive both reference numbers. If any of these steps have not been followed and information is missing, then unfortunately we are very sorry, but we will have to reject the application.
